Melbourne Water

Our commitment

We can’t achieve our vision on our own. We need to work together with our customers and stakeholders to enhance liveability against the backdrop of population growth, increased urban density, a changing and variable climate, natural resource scarcity and community expectations for affordable services.

We are committed to understanding and listening to our customers and stakeholders as well as working with them to achieve the best possible solutions for economic, social and environmental outcomes.

We will build strong relationships and pool our knowledge and expertise to create better solutions.

Healthy Waterways Strategy and Stormwater Strategy

After a lot of hard work and valuable input from everyone involved, the draft Healthy Waterways Strategy and Stormwater Strategy have been updated in response to feedback received from consultation workshops, online feedback from our consultation webpage and written submissions during our public consultation period in May/June 2012.

The draft strategies are part of the information that supports Melbourne Water’s Water Plan submission which is currently being reviewed by the Essential Services Commission (ESC). The strategies will be finalised following the ESC’s determination. The earliest indication of feedback may arrive in February 2013, with the final decision due in June 2013 for implementation in July 2013.
